Ms. Polson is an attorney and a registered US Patent attorney. She has thirty years of work experience in the field of intellectual property. She just completed a three-year term on the Board of Directors for American Intellectual Property Law Association. She has extensive experience in patent matters, covering prosecution, invalidation and opinion works and industrial design and trademark matters. She helps multinational corporations protect their intellectual property worldwide, including IP strategy, patent portfolio management, and enforcement. She has drafted a wide range of utility patents, including automotive components, oil drilling machinery, computer-controlled rock saws, complex amusement rides, and vegetable oil derived engine oil. She has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of US design patents, and has substantial experience enforcing US design patents. She practices extensively in the area of design rights, protecting the appearance of a product or packaging and works with international companies to help the protect the valuable appearance of their products and packaging.
